Trail Closures for the 2026 Moncton Dog Runners Spring Fast Fox Race

Location: Mapleton Park 

Date: Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12 

Trail Closures:  

Saturday, April 11 from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.:

  • Full closure of the Lagune, Cattail, Riparian, and Bayou trails 
  • Partial closure of the Floodplain and Wetland trails

Sunday, April 12 from 7:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.:

  • Full closure of the Lagune, Cattail, Riparian, and Bayou trails
  • Partial closure of the Floodplain and Wetland trails

If conditions are unsafe for racing on Saturday, April 11:

  • The park will remain open to the public for regular use on Saturday, April 11
  • On Sunday, April 12 the following trails will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.:
    • Full closure of the Lagune, Cattail, Riparian, and Bayou trails
    • Partial closure of the Floodplain and Wetland trails

Event details: These trail closures are required for the safety of race participants and park users. Spectators are welcome to attend; however, dogs are not permitted on the course.
