Plumbing permits may only be obtained by plumbing contractors holding a valid New Brunswick Plumbing Contractor's Licence. Submissions by property owners and clients are not accepted.
Step 1: Set up your MyServices account
Before you can apply for a plumbing permit online, your plumbing company must complete the following one-time setup process:
1. Designate an administrator
Choose one person within your company to serve as the MyServices account administrator. This person will be responsible for adding and removing users from the company account.
2. Create an account
The designated administrator must create a personal MyServices account.
3. Request company activation
Once the account has been created, contact the City to activate your company's account by email at info.plans [at] moncton.ca (info[dot]plans[at]moncton[dot]ca) or by phone at 506-856-4375.
Please provide:
- The administrator's name and email address used to create the MyServices account.
- The plumbing company's name, mailing address and phone number.
4. Add additional users
Once your company has been activated, the administrator will receive an email with instructions on how to add staff members, plumbing contractors and plumbers who require access to submit applications or view company information.
5. Submit licence information
To enable plumbing permit submissions, email a clear copy of the plumbing licence and/or plumbing contractor's licence for each user who may be listed as a contact on a plumbing permit application to info.plans [at] moncton.ca (info[dot]plans[at]moncton[dot]ca).
Step 2: Apply for a plumbing permit (Beginning August 17, 2026)
Once your MyServices account has been set up, you can submit a plumbing permit application online through MyServices or in person at the City of Moncton Planning & Development Department. New plumbing permit applications will no longer be accepted through info.plans [at] moncton.ca (info[dot]plans[at]moncton[dot]ca) after August 17, 2026.
