To ensure that a variety of activities are available for everyone to enjoy, the City requests that all organizations applying to take part in the festivities incorporate an interactive component to their booth that will enhance the experience for event-goers. Examples include, but are not limited to, games, activities, giveaways (e.g. balloons, stickers, etc.), face painting, balloon twisting, etc.

In 2019, the City of Moncton joined a global movement of municipalities around the world by declaring a Climate Emergency. The Green Event Guide was created to support events that wish to join this movement by suggesting actions that can undertaken to reduce the event’s environmental impact and to promote greater environmental stewardship in the community. As a result, the Events Department is encouraging all vendors to take part by developing an optional Green Vendor Plan that outlines green initiatives that you will be taking as a vendor on July 1 to be submitted to the Department for approval. If approved, you will receive $50 discount towards your vendor fees.
