The City of Moncton’s annual July 1st Celebrations are the region’s largest and 2026 will be no exception. 

Event: Who Canada! Celebrations! 

Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Program:

11 a.m.-4 p.m.Children's entertainment on stage and busker's
11 p.m.-8 p.m.Bouncy games
11 a.m.-10 p.m.Vendors & booths
5 p.m.-9:45 p.m.Concert
10 p.m.-10:15 p.m.Fireworks

Busking Areas: 

  • Downing Street
  • Riverfront Park Trail

Buskers obligations and responsibilities

Busker Fees:

  • Buskers will not be paid for their services by the City of Moncton but are permitted and encouraged to provide an area for tips.

 

BUSKER SCHEDULE:

  • Buskers are expected to be on site from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 1.
  • Buskers will pick one or several desired times from the following busking times of an hour and fifteen minutes; 
    • 12 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
    • 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
    • 3:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

 

Set-up and Start time:

  • Buskers must on site and ready to begin performing no less than 15 minutes before their designated time slot.

 

Tear-down time:

  • Buskers must stop busking at their designated completion time
