Paying for your parking session depends on where you are parked.When parking at one of our public lots – find the nearest parking sign and either scan the QR code or enter the zone code into your HotSpot app and follow the prompts. Be sure that your license plate is correctly entered, add the duration of your parking session, and follow steps to pay for your session. When using on-street parking – find a metered parking spot and follow prompts to pay. You can either add change to the meter based on the length of your intended stay, or you can enter the code shown on the parking meter into your HotSpot app and follow prompts to pay. Do I need to download the HotSpot app to pay for parking? When parking at one of our city-owned lots – you do not need to download the HotSpot application to pay for parking. How will you know whether I have paid for parking? When monitoring our lots, the By-Law team will scan license plates to validate that parking has been paid for, using HotSpot.
