Water Leak and Minor Adjustment Form
The City of Moncton provides the Water Leak Adjustment Program in accordance to the Water Leak Relief Program Policy.
This policy applies to residential customers* who received a water bill with abnormally large consumption volume due to a water leak.
Customers are eligible for
one-time leak adjustment
over a 10-year timeframe per service address, per property owner
with the adjustment on their bill being capped at $1,000.
The water leak adjustment is calculated by rebating 50% of the water consumption above the customer's average monthly consumption. Adjustments will be applied to a maximum of a 3-month period, representing the quarterly billing cycle.
All leak adjustment requests will be reviewed and approved by a Utility Administrative Working Group in order to ensure that all decisions are fair and equal among all residential users.
*Residential properties are classified as those serviced with one water meter (townhouses, duplexes, housing less than five units are all considered residential). Condominiums are not considered a residential property.
