Parking meters

On-street metered parking is available throughout Downtown Moncton and near both hospitals. See the downtown parking map for specific locations.

Downtown metered parking rates and hours:

  • 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday - $2.50/hour for two-hour maximum spaces 
  • Free after 6 p.m. on weeknights and on weekends and holidays

Hospital metered parking rates and hours: 

  • 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Friday - $2.50/hour for two-hour maximum spaces
  • Free after 10 p.m. on weeknights and on weekends and holidays

City parking lots

The City operates the following parking lots:

  • Alma Parking Garage (28 Alma St.) – 225 spaces
  • Moncton Place (Moncton City Hall, 655 Main St.) – 125 spaces
  • Riverfront Park (150 Assomption Blvd.) – 100 spaces 
  • Moncton Market (120 Westmorland St.) – 39 spaces
  • Robinson Street (along Robinson Street) – 10 metered spaces, 12-hour maximum
  • Seymour Parking Lot (along Seymour Court) – 22 spaces

City-owned lots do not accept cash payment.

Note: As of 6:01 a.m. you will begin to be charged the hourly rate as applicable. For example, if you park overnight on a weeknight and leave a lot at 6:30 a.m., you will be charged the $3 flat fee plus the $2.50 hourly rate ($5.50 total).

Monthly parking

Monthly parking is available in some City lots.

$160 per month (plus HST):  

  • Alma Parking Garage 
  • Moncton Place (Moncton City Hall) 
  • Moncton Market
  • Seymour Street
  • Robinson Street

$125 per month (plus HST):

  • Riverfront Park 

Monthly parking is also available in many privately-owned lots. A list of these lots can be found on the Downtown Moncton Centre-Ville Inc. website.
