2022 Fees & Charges

Please note that effective January 1, 2022, there are changes to the City of Moncton’s Fees and Charges By-law (By-law A-1318) which outlines the costs associated to development. The year-over-year changes are increases of approximately 3-5% to adjust the fees and charges for inflation.

2022 Fees & Charges

The Urban Planning Department oversees land use planning and development, as well as policies and zoning by-laws. This includes deciding on whether land will be designated for residential, community or commercial use. The Department also manages approval processes for development applications. The City has both short-term and long-term plans for growth that reflect the environmental, social and economic needs of the community.
