Winter Parking Ban 
The City of Moncton has winter parking restrictions to allow for snow clearing, from December 1 to April 15.

Temporary No-Parking Snow Clearing Areas
To help with snow removal, crews post temporary no-parking signage in areas they are working in.

Notice: temporary day-time parking restrictions that were in effect throughout the City have all been lifted. The overnight parking ban remains in effect. 

City of Moncton Snow Clearing

Winter Parking Ban

The City of Moncton prohibits
street parking from:

  • December 1 to April 15
  • Midnight to 7 a.m.

During this time, snow clearing operations take place throughout the city.

The City strictly enforces this by-law.
Non-compliant vehicle owners are subject
to a fine and their vehicle may be towed at their expense.

Downtown Overnight Parking restrictions will be lifted when conditions warrant.

Moncton’s ploughing and snow hauling
policies include daytime temporary
no-parking areas.

When this sign is posted, vehicles must
be removed and park elsewhere until
the snow clearing operation is
complete and the signs removed.

Snow clearing can occur up to 24 hours
after signs have been posted.
