City of Moncton 2026 Fees and Charges Posted on January 27, 2026 in News The 2026 fee schedules for municipal services have been approved by Moncton City Council and were put into effect Jan. 1, 2026.The following is a summary of changes to the fees and charges for 2026:Planning and Development fees have increased by 2.5%, including services such as zoning amendment applications, temporary use applications, subdivision applications, and development permits. Full details: https://www.moncton.ca/building-permitsThe licence fee and administration fee for sidewalk cafés has been consolidated into a single fee of $350.Hourly monthly and daily maximum parking rates in municipal lots remain unchanged at $2.50 per hour. The 50-parking voucher pass has increased to $150. Parking is no longer free at the Riverfront Parking lot between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekends and statutory holidays.Codiac Transpo 20-ride passes, and 30-day passes have increased by 1$. Educational camp fees have increased by $10 for 4- and 5-day camps for ages 6–8 and 14–17, and by $15 for ages 9–11 and 12–13. One-day camp fees remain unchanged. Behind-the-scenes visits are now offered at two rates:$55 for tiger visits$60 for primate visitsFamily admission (up to four people) at Resurgo Place has increased to $30. Regular admission fees remain unchanged.Some room and facility rental fees have increased, while others remain unchanged:Sports field rentals – hourly rates for field rentals, hour sessions, tournament rentals and seasonal rentals have increased.Moncton Market – vendor rental fees have increased by 0.70-0.90 cents per linear foot. A $50 no-show fee and a $25 late arrival/early departure fee have been introduced.Crossman Community Centre-Kay Arena – rates remain unchanged.Moncton Coliseum – facility rental rates have increased for the Coliseum, exhibition halls, parking lot, Legends, and meeting rooms.Resurgo Place – rental fees have increased, with the exception of wedding packages.The fee for use of the municipal snow dump has increased to $11.The fee for street closure permits has increased to $100.Water and sewer rates for commercial customers have increased by 0.5% to 1%, depending on the usage per year and the service line size. Residential rates have also increased. A typical household, based on an average of 272 cubic metres of usage per year, will see an increase of approximately $10 per year.Individual fees and charges are posted in their respective areas both on-site and online.
