River of Pride – Road Closure and Noise By-Law Exemption 2023-08-30

The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following areas to accommodate the River of Pride parade and festivities happening on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023.

Saturday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m. 

  • A full closure of Foundry Street from Record Street to Main Street to allow for the parade line-up and staging.

Saturday, Sept. 2 from 12:30 p.m. to approximately 2 p.m. 

  • A full closure of Main Street from Bonaccord Street to Lewis Street

Saturday, Sept. 2 from 12:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. 

  • A full closure of Downing Street

Please note that streets will reopen as the procession passes. Traffic on Assomption Boulevard will be held briefly to allow parade participants to safely enter Riverfront Park.
 

Noise By-Law Exemption:

A noise By-Law Exemption has been granted for River of Pride festivities on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 12 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes when possible. The City of Moncton apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and encourages the public to check out the events.
